It’s all hands on deck during that week as each Division takes on a different section of the building with their staff.

This year, the front desk staff was in charge of cleaning the Wellness Area. This area seems very straightforward, but it’s more than just wiping down equipment! Aside from wiping and disinfecting every dumbbell, rope, mat, and bar, staff made sure the windows, vents, ceiling, walls, and mirrors were all cleaned. In groups, they lifted every treadmill and other large equipment to make sure the entire floor was scrubbed.

In the catering kitchen, the Marketing Division started by emptying the pantry, refrigerators, and freezers and getting rid of anything that didn’t belong in there. Every appliance was cleaned and disinfected to make sure the kitchen is ready for anything! Our biggest priority here was to make sure every surface that touches food was completely safe, including all pots, pans, burners, and trays.

The Aquatics Division had their work cut out for them, as they were in charge of the pool and hot tub. Aquatics/Operations Manager, Sarah Barnett, said, “We start by draining the pool and deep scrubbing it to make sure there’s no algae. While the pool is empty, we also make any repairs that we can’t normally make when it’s filled with water.” Lifeguards were also hard at work making sure the deck and patio were spotless using power washing machines.

At the Community Center, one of our biggest priorities is for your experience to be the best it can be – from working out in a perfectly cleaned gym to knowing your children are surrounded by clean surfaces.

We can’t wait to see you when we reopen on Saturday, August 24 at 7:00am!
