I was listening to a podcast talking about family a few days ago. This podcast specifically talked about how the holidays are a really good time for families. A big reason for this is because it’s the same dates every year, so it’s easier to make plans in advance! Often times, it’s difficult to make last-minute plans when trying to get the family together.
I’m sure you are wondering where I am going with this. Some people have been playing their favorite holiday tunes since Halloween ended, while some prefer to reserve November as a month for only Thanksgiving and leave the caroling to December. However, I couldn’t wait! I love the holidays. Everything just seems to be much happier during holiday month. There is so much quality time spent with both family and friends that is simply unmatched at any other time of the year.
Because we love spending time with our Community Center family, there will be four events this holiday season that are sure to bring your family together! This season, you can look forward to making a gingerbread house along with other holiday crafts at our Handmade for the Holidays workshop on December 5 at 7:00pm!
To continue the jolly fun, you’re invited to join us for our annual Tree Lighting on December 7 starting at 5:30pm. Not only will you have the opportunity to help us light the tree, but we’ll have some crafts, activities, refreshments, and entertainment for everyone!
Be sure to mark your calendars for Breakfast with Santa on December 14! Who doesn’t want to eat pancakes and other healthy alternatives and get their picture taken with Santa? We’ll also have games and crafts! To finish up the festive day, the annual Light Parade will also be held on December 14 at 5:45pm and go through the City of Manassas Park. Be sure to find a seat to watch this beautiful parade make its way through the city.
We encourage you to bring your family and create new memories with us this holiday season!
