In 2017, we conducted our first Patron Engagement Survey based on the survey done by the National Recreation and Parks Association. Though the participation pool was small, it provided some necessary insight for all of the Divisions here at Parks and Recreation. Over time, participation in the survey has grown and we hope that participation continues to grow in the future.
The Patron Engagement Survey has proven to be one of the most useful tools for decision making by staff guiding resources to facilities, ideas for new programming, and methods of advertising. While it is not the only method we use for determining a decision, it is a significant piece of the larger puzzle.
