Summer camp registration is now open!

We offer a variety of Summer Camps for kids ages 3-5, 6-11, and Teens. If you have any questions, please contact us at 703.335.8872.

Summer camp registration forms must be completed and returned to the community center in order to complete the registration process. Please speak with a front desk representative for more information.

2019 Summer Camp Options

These camps are for kids not yet enrolled in Kindergarten. You must provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate and their physical completed by a physician. Children MUST be potty trained.

After Camp Care
After Camp Care is provided for children enrolled in Playschool camps. Each day we will have age appropriate activities such as story time, crafts, and games. Each child will need to bring a nut-free snack. *No camp care on 7/4. $27/AAP; $40/M; $45/R; $50/NR

Are you looking for summer camp opportunities? If so, the Community Center is the place to be! With a wide variety of themes, sports, and fun activities, there is no room for boredom. Children are split into groups and placed based on age. MUST sign up by the Wednesday prior to each camp.

*No camp or camp care on 7/4. All school age camps are for children entering 1st grade through entering 6th grade.

H2o & Go Camp
Each day your child will receive group and individual swim lessons taught by certified instructors. After swimming, campers will have the opportunity to enjoy more games to keep their energy high like kickball, basketball, and soccer. Session is limited to 12 participants. No camp 7/4. Samurai Warriors Camp
It’s ancient Japan – the 1800’s. The Emperor has to put together an army of Samurai Soldiers! He only has one week to train his army in the arts of Kendo (Way of the Sword), Nerf archery, foam rubber Bo staff, water artillery, karate, and water cannons. The soldiers have five days to train, including creating and building their own Samurai armor to protect them against the enemy forces. The fate of the Emperor’s nation depends on you! Martial Arts Olympics Camp
In this camp, students will train in the competitive skills of martial arts, including rhythm no-contact sparring, child safe board breaking, and Nerf archery! At the end of the week, campers enter the arena and compete for top honors! (Authentic Martial Arts uniforms are available for purchase at a discounted price at the camps.) Forensic Files

This camp gives players of all ages and abilities the opportunity to receive soccer coaching. Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and through it all, fun! Ninja Warrior Challenge
Camp participants will be sent back in time to ancient Japan, where they must learn the skills of the Ninja warriors. With their newly learned skills, they will participate in a special challenge at the end of the week. A combination of Capture the Ninja Flag, American Gladiators, and a Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course will test their skills. They will learn acrobatics, proper use of safe Ninja equipment, Martial Arts, and more! (Authentic Ninja uniforms and child safe weapons are available for purchase at the camps with parent approval.  Contact mike Arrington for more information). On Broadway

Flag Football Camp
Football season is right around the corner! This camp is guaranteed to get your football star ready for the upcoming season by engaging in defensive and offensive drills and conditioning. Pads and cleats are not required for this camp, as it will be a flag/touch football camp. This camp is open to all skill levels. $66/AAP; $110/M; $121/R; $132/NR

Kids Choice
Kids love calling the shots! In this camp, they will decide the theme, activities, and games for the week. $66/AAP; $110/M; $121/R; $132/NR

(Ages 12-17) Come to the Community Center with other teens and create lasting memories. Our fun, energetic Recreation Leaders lead our camps, and each day is action-packed! No before or after camp care is available; however, teens are encouraged to participate in Teen Passport classes before camp, and then hang out in the Teen Center afterwards. Camps run Monday-Thursday. Free lunch is available starting at 11:00am. *No camp on 7/4.

Adventure Camp
Adventure camp engages teens with group activities based around journey and exploration. Camp will include field trips to local parks, teambuilding facilities, and fun activities such as Uptown Alley or the Autobahn Speedway. $62/AAP; $104/M; $115/R; $126/NR

Helping Hands Camp
Spend your time wisely this summer by giving back to your community. Do you need community service hours for a volunteer organization or college applications? This is the perfect camp for you as we serve a different community organization each day. Cooking Camp

Art Camp
This is not your regular run-of-the-mill art camp. Instead, this camp helps teens tap into their own creativity. Teens will work together to create a display piece for the Teen Center and will also create something to take home at the end of camp. $39/AAP; $66/M; $77/R; $88/NR

Junior Lifeguard Camp
(Ages 11-14) Prepare your teen for a future summer job! This camp, created by the American Red Cross, focuses on building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills for future lifeguards. Participants will be introduced to first aid, CPR, AED, rule enforcement, water safety, and basic water rescue techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to shadow lifeguards working at both MPCC and Signal Bay Waterpark. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Prerequisites include demonstrating the ability to swim 25yds using the front crawl stroke, swim 25yds using the breaststroke and completing a water competency sequence. Participants will receive a Junior Lifeguard Course Completion Certificate. The certification does not indicate that the person is trained to be a lifeguard, and there is no validity period.

Business and Entrepreneur Camp
Have you seen the show Shark Tank on TV? After contestants pitch their product, they try to get someone to invest in it. In our version, teens will split up into groups, come up with a proposed product or service, and pitch it to “investors” on the final day of camp. Prizes will be awarded to the winning group. Make sure you bring your swimsuit and towel, as we will spend some time at the pool after discussing business ideas! $39/AAP; $66/M; $77/R; $88/NR

View from the Top Camp
This one-of-a-kind camp will give you views from distances and angles that you have never seen before. Come with us as we hike at Great Falls, hike trails at Bull Run, and canoe in the Lake Ridge Marina. The view from the top will be amazing! $62/AAP; $104/M; $115/R; $126/NR

Summer Camp Registration Process

  • Complete the form for your child’s age group
  • Create an account on Rec1
  • Add a credit card information on to your account
  • Email completed form and last four digits of your credit card to the email at the top of the form
  • Customer Service Supervisor will enter the camps/camp care you requested and set up payment plan for payments to come out the Friday before the camp starts
  • You will receive an email confirmation of camp/camp care registration
  • If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 business days, contact Amelia Powell at a.powell@manassasparkva.gov

Enrollment & Payment Processes

You must register your child ONE WEEK prior to their chosen programs including completing the registration forms. If you are already registered and need to dis-enroll or switch camps (capacity permitting), you must make these changes one week prior to the chosen program.

You must have a credit card on file for payment. If you do not have a card on file, your child will be removed from camps. Payments will be drafted on the Friday prior to camp. If your card does not go through, we will make email and phone contact Friday morning. If your account is not rectified by noon on Friday, your child will not be permitted to attend camp on Monday. If your account is brought to date after the noon deadline, your child will be permitted to start camp on Tuesday.
