In my previous blogs this summer, I discussed how we prepared for summer camp season and how the first weeks went. To conclude my summer blog post series, I would like to give you a recap on how much fun we had this season.
We offered a variety of unique camps this summer. Volleyball, cheer, and numerous martial arts camps were among the most popular camps this year. We were also selected to be a host site for the Washington Wizards youth basketball camp. We received very good feedback from parents. Many of them expressed how much they liked our camp leaders and the way they took care of the campers.
Our staff this season worked hard to make sure children had a safe, fun, and engaging environment every single day of camp. Working summer camp was just as impactful as it was fun. Summer camp staff rocked it from the first day of camp to the day it was time to say their goodbyes. A few tears were held back. Staff bonded with campers in many ways through sports, martial arts, and just by being positive role models. We sat together for snack and lunch times, sang and danced to songs, and sometimes simply fooled around to make the camp experience memorable and fun for campers.
On behalf of the summer camp team and myself, I can say it was a blast having your children with us this year. The positive influence we have on a camper and their family in a matter of just a few weeks is such a rewarding feeling and gives everyone memories to cherish. We hope to see you again next summer camp season!
