In May, most families are celebrating two things: mother’s day and graduation. Graduations include graduating from college, high school, middle school, elementary school, and even preschool!
The Manassas Park Community Center Preschool is in the process of preparing for our preschool senior class to graduate from preschool and send our graduates off to kindergarten. Our staff is excited for our graduates because we know their graduation is the result of their hard work and their family support!
We see our kids enter preschool eager to learn. It makes us happy watching them grow in their maturity and feel that our kids truly are ready for kindergarten when they graduate from our program.
We realize this process does not happen without the support and encouragement of their families and teachers collaborating to guide them to success.
In addition to our preschool graduates, we also have some of our staff preparing for their very own graduation from high school and college. Our staff really puts forth great effort every day. Many of our staffers manage school and work, and a few are even completing school internship programs. We support our work families and our home families.
Two members of our work family have achieved some great accomplishments as well. Tony Thomas and Mike Arrington have achieved one of the highest certifications in the Parks and Recreation field, the CPRP certification. CPRP stands for the Certified Park and Recreation Professional and is the national standard for all parks and recreation professionals who want to be at the forefront of their profession.
It is not easy, but attaining the CPRP designation shows parks and recreation professionals, like Mike and Tony, have met educational and experience qualifications. It also illustrates their commitment to the profession as well as your knowledge and understanding of key concepts within parks and recreation. With their efforts and desires to grow and learn to serve their community on a higher level and the support of their family of coworkers, great things are happening here at your Community Center.
Congratulations to all of you who are celebrating graduations. Whether you are graduating from preschool or graduating from a nationally recognized professional curriculum, we salute you! We congratulate you on your accomplishments, and we thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We are very proud of you, as you should be yourself.
I consider it an honor to serve such an amazing group of children, parents, co-workers. You are all in my heart and mind and my family!
