Wish You Were Here – by Kaitlyn Collier

Were you at the Fall Festival on Saturday, October 13, 2018? You certainly missed some great fall themed fun if you weren’t! The festival was filled with vendors, activities, a moon bounce, face painting, performances, food, and more. We had it all!

I love supporting local business. I believe in bringing businesses and shoppers together in a fun environment. I carry this attitude into selecting vendors for the Fall Festival. I love seeing people who are passionate about the crafts they make, and those are the vendors I showcase at the Manassas Park Fall Festival every year.

Let me paint you a picture.

Imagine you’re walking down the aisles surrounded by vendors. You catch a variety of scents, home décor, handmade bows, children’s clothing, books, handmade shoes, and more. There are vendors that offer anything you may want to decorate your home with for the holidays!

As you’re walking around shopping, your kids are jumping in the moon bounce, or creating their own foam jack-o-lantern to hang up on the fridge. Now they’re getting their face painted like their favorite character! While you’re shopping, your kids are having a blast!

There are amazing performances every hour! Premier Martial Arts, “7” Step Hand Dance Academy, Northern Virginia Dance Academy, and Virginia Dance Center take turns entertaining the crowd. Children unleash their inner karate kid with the help of Premier Martial Arts. Even the youngest toddlers dance along to their favorite tunes with the performers!

The hayrides outside put everyone in the fall spirit. A food vendor sells delicious pupusas and tacos! Festival-goers grab a bite then hop on the tractor for a ride around the park.

Fun, right?

If you were at the Fall Festival this year, I’m glad you were part of the fun! If you weren’t, don’t worry. We’ve already started the planning of next year’s Fall Festival, focusing on how we can improve even more and make it bigger and better! If you weren’t able to make it this year, remember this blog and come check it out next year. Your family will have a blast and you’ll jump start your fall fun!
