Welcome to the City of Manassas Park, Department of Parks and Recreation. The Department of Parks and Recreation is committed to the provision of quality leisure services for the residents of Manassas Park. Over the years, through the many changes that the City has endured, the Department of Parks and Recreation has responded to the growing needs of the community by continuing to support the Governing Body’s vision to be the “Premier Northern Virginia Community to live, work, and raise a family”.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is committed to the provision of quality leisure services for the residents of Manassas Park. It is our mission to provide a variety of high quality, diverse leisure opportunities, foster our city’s parks and natural resources, and support the individual growth and well being of our citizens.

Registration is on a “first come, first serve basis.” You will only be notified if the class/program is cancelled. Late registrations are accepted, if space is available with no reduction in fee.

Forms & Fees

Each class/program must be accompanied by the registration form and payment. The forms and fees should be dropped off/or mailed to: Manassas Park Community Center, 99 Adams Street, Manassas Park, VA 20111. Checks are to be made payable to “City of Manassas Park.” There is a $35.00 returned check fee for any check returned by the bank.


The Department of Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel any class/program which does not meet the minimum enrollment. All programs with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled 5 days prior to the program start date. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!

Non-City Residents

Most of the fee based classes/programs are available to non-city residents at an additional fee. Please see the individual class/program for additional information.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather the Department of Parks & Recreation will follow the Local Government cancellation schedule. If classes/programs are cancelled, every attempt will be made to re-schedule the class/program. Click here for the inclement weather policy for our daycare programs.
