Create a Memorable Event in Our Banquet Hall – by Maria Bosack

Does this frigid winter weather make you dream about warmer days coming? You picture spring blooms replacing the stark, gray winter topography and it is much warmer outside! People go back to enjoying parks and being outside, and invitations arrive for graduation parties, quinceañeras, and weddings.

What if you are the one placed in charge of planning the event? Where can you accommodate a large group of friends and family in a centrally located, clean, and reasonably priced facility? Consider the banquet hall and gourmet kitchen facilities at the Manassas Park Community Center.

The tasteful, neutrally decorated, full banquet hall accommodates up to 230 people. For smaller groups, the room can be divided in half providing seating for 115 people. An indoor pre-function area located adjacent to the banquet hall adds extra room for guests to mingle. In addition, an outdoor patio area offers space for your guests to enjoy a quiet conversation prior to entering the banquet hall. These areas are perfect for a photo booth, or similar activity, and not have it compete with the festivities inside the banquet hall.

The gourmet kitchen offers 810 square feet and two entrances for concurrent events. There is a gourmet six-burner gas stove, double convection oven, warming ovens, ice machine, and moveable stainless steel tables for catering your event.

Now that you know a little about the banquet facilities, you should contact Amelia Powell at If you prefer, you can call her at the Community Center at 703-335-8872.  Powell is the Manassas Park Community Center Customer Service Supervisor AND your personal concierge when you rent the banquet facilities. Her years of experience planning parties for every occasion, and her incredible attention to detail, are what you need to make your event a huge success.

When you meet Amelia, you will notice her easygoing attitude. As she takes you through the banquet hall, you feel will completely reassured knowing that renting the banquet area is a good decision. You know Powell will be with you every step of the way, and when she says she will follow-up with you, she will.

Powell and the rest of the staff are confident in the cleanliness of the facility, the ease of setting up for your event, and she can even provide names of local businesses to help you during every stage of planning.

The banquet hall offers ample free parking, audio and visual capabilities, rentable dance floor, round tables, conference tables, and chairs further adding to the success of your event. Then, once the big day arrives, you can sit back and enjoy yourself, and watch the memories happen!
