On May 14, 2021, Governor Ralph Northam lifted Virginia’s universal mask mandate to align with CDC’s new guidance. Patrons and staff that have been vaccinated are no longer required to wear masks, however, anyone who has not been vaccinated is strongly encouraged to wear a mask. The Governor also announced on May 28, 2021 that Virginia will end all covid-19 mitigation measures, such as, distancing and capacity restrictions. For more information on Governor Northam’s announcement, click here.

We still have in place our increased cleaning plan since reopening August 2020, and have elevated our safety measures by incorporating Sani-Zone’s (air/surface disinfectors) installed in the following spaces: TC1, TC2, MP1, Mens Locker room, Womens Locker room, Teen Center, and the Preschool/Kids Korner room.

I’m vaccinated, do I still need to wear a face mask?

Patrons and staff that have been vaccinated are no longer required to wear masks, however, anyone who has not been vaccinated is strongly encouraged to wear a mask. The CDC and Virginia’s recent mask guidelines state that fully-vaccinated individuals do not have to wear masks in most indoor settings, except on public transit, in health care facilities, and in congregate settings. www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html
