What Does a Writer Do For Parks and Recreation? – By Maria Bosack

For several years, I have served on various Boards and have worked with local artists and residents helping others see what I already know: our unique community really has so much to offer! I have lived in the area for over 19 years and my family and I have participated in many local community events, so it’s hard for me to say which is my favorite. There are so many excellent programs in our community, but, to me, some the best are: the fireworks on the Fourth of July, watching the kids play and swim at the Signal Hill Water Park, and the summer camps.

Now, I am making it my mission to ensure that other families enjoy the programs the way my own family has. Whether it’s a class on resume writing class or a class that guides teens as they learn to recycle old jeans you’ll find it at the City of Manassas Park, Department of Recreation!
